High Dream’s 2nd Youth Reporter’s Ceremony and North Korea Human Rights Talk Concert

This year’s theme: The Light of Hope That Brightens the Darkness

The North Korean Democratic Youth Student Forum (CEO: Park Kwang-il) jointly with NK Watch (CEO: Ahn Myeongchul) held a North Korean human rights talk concert with the opening ceremony of the 2nd High Dream Youth Volunteer Reporter Group and NK Watch on August 2, 2014. The event began with an opening ceremony of the 2nd High Dream Youth Volunteer Reporter Group and the award ceremony of the 1st High Dream Youth Volunteer Reporter Group, followed by the opening ceremony of the 2nd High Dream Youth Volunteer Reporter Group and the opening ceremony of the 2nd High Dream Youth Volunteer Group. The event was followed by a congratulatory speech by Kang Cheol-hwan, CEO of the North Korean Strategy Center, and a encouraging speech by Heo Geon-seong (Living Guidance Director) of Han-young Foreign Language High School.


In the second part of the event, an animation showing the human rights situation of youth in North Korea’s political prison camps was held. Later, as the host of Lee Sung-hee, an announcer of the Free Chosun Broadcasting Corporation, a North Korean human rights talk concert was held with Shin Dong-hyuk, a survivor of the North Korean political prison camp, Ahn Myeongchul, a former security soldier of the North Korean political prison camp, and high school students. The North Korean human rights talk concert was a surprise event for participating students, along with various stories to promote the human rights of North Koreans.
