On October 13th, Executive Director Myeongchul Ahn attended the 17th Overseas Provincial Assembly (ASEAN, Europe) hosted by the Advisory Council on Democratic and Peaceful Unification, a constitutional institution established to advise the Korean president on the policy of liberal and democratic unification on the Korean Peninsula, and presented information and opinions on the reality of North Korea. He participated in a panel of a Ministry of National Defense policy briefing, a unification talk show, and the unification talks with overseas council members held at the Blue House.
The unification talk show was themed “Knowing North Korea Right.” Professor Kim Young-soo of Sogang University hosted the unification talk show, and the panel included Kwak In-soo, senior researcher at the Institute for National Security Strategy, and Myeongchul Ahn, Executive Director of NK Watch.
