NK Watch’s petitions were mentioned on the Report of OHCHR (04/09/2021)
Dear Donors, Human rights activists, and Members of the international community
NK Watch’s petitions were mentioned on the report on “Promoting accountability in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,” which will be presented by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in the forty-sixth session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, on March 23rd, 2021. NK Watch shared digital copies of 768 petitions with OHCHR Seoul to cooperate in pursuing accountability for North Korea’s crimes against humanity, and this effort was mentioned on the report.
It is the second time the UN officially acknowledged NK Watch’s activities as an achievement of international cooperation.
As an organization playing a vital role in accountability for North Korea’s crimes against humanity, NK Watch will continue to collaborate with the UN and the international community.
We hope you have a wonderful day full of happiness in this warm spring.
Thank you.
